Hillside properties present their own set of challenges. The key is to turn those challenges into opportunities. Landscape timbers were installed to create three terraces. The top terrace afforded a grassy knoll to oversee the hillside and street below. The Spanish architecture dictated a Mediterranean palette of Agave weberi, Lantana camara, a robust planting of Echium fastuosum-Pride of Maderia, and three strategically placed Olea europea-wilsonii.
The back yard is the interactive space with a Fire Bowl conversation area off the house before you ascend the fragrant Lavender lined stairs to a second plateau with a lap pool, jacuzzi, and wood deck.
