Hancock Park Project

Los Angeles, CA

Overview

The Hancock Park project was a complete re-design.  An entry from the street was created allowing guests to walk along a procession of Blue Slate and Thyme to arrive at the front porch.

Guests are initially greeted by a hardy sidewalk planting of Agave attenuta and senecio mandraliscae  (Blue Senecio).  After passing through the entry gate one is drawn along a fragrant path of Lavandula heterophylla to a water feature. Fronting the house is a mass planting of Anigozanthos (Kangaroo Paw), under planted with blue senecio.

The homeowner had a low water mandate so all turf grass was removed and replaced with Del Rio Gravel.
